Hi friends! Thanks for joining me on my new online space!

For a long time I had my business website and personal blog separate on the internet. I didn’t think my clients would be interested in my adoption process, and I didn’t think my friends and family would be interested in my newspaper column and writing for businesses.

My business website has needed updating for a long time; I just didn’t make time to do it. In the last few months, I thought my blog could also use an update to more accurately reflect what I’m interested in blogging about.

And then I realized, hey, I’m one person, right? I should maybe have one website for all of it.

So I contacted sweet, patient Fran and she walked me through getting this simple, beautiful little website set up. And then she was patient some more while I kept tinkering and asking for a little of this or a little of that. (Did I mention she’s patient?) I’m still not quite done adding content (which you’ll find if you click around everywhere), but I’m launching anyway. Even though it’s not perfect. I’m putting it out there imperfectly. (It’s a metaphor.)

Welcome welcome welcome! I’m so glad you came to check it out. Leave a comment and let me know you’ve been here, click on those little buttons on the left sidebar to subscribe via RSS or email, and then come back again real soon.

and Merry Christmas!

Great idea Kim! I’ve been thinking about setting up a website for my freelance writing stuff, my blog, twitter, etc. Let me know if you have any helpful suggestions of how to start!

It took me a while to find the graphic designer I wanted (and Fran is great!), but after that, it was just a matter of organizing everything I had and taking ideas from my favorite sites to incorporate into my own space. And I’m sure it will change as time goes on, too, which I love about WordPress… you can change whatever you want whenever you want to!

Wow Kim, I gotta say, I don’t know where you get the time for all this…I’m a little jealous (and maybe disorganized). I love that you are doing it though, and I love reading EVERYTHING. I so miss talking to you on a regular basis, so, its nice to be able to peek into your world a little bit through this. Hoping sometime soon though, we will be able to connect more again.

Thanks Kristina! I miss you too — I just got your Christmas card today! Let’s talk soon. Naptime tomorrow?
