Today, we were appointed legal guardians of Benjamin. This means, yes… he is ours. We knew he was ours, of course. We knew like you know when you’ll spend the rest of your life with someone. But this makes it official. And now we’re one huge step closer to bringing him home.

Tomorrow I’ll bring the remaining papers to the U.S. Embassy, then I’ll chat with them on Monday, and pray they have the visa ready on Wednesday. It’s probable, but it depends on whether they’ve completed their investigations yet. Please pray with us! I really want to leave when my booked ticket says, arriving back home in a week’s time.

Praise God, who is a father to the fatherless and sets the lonely in families. We are humbled and awed.
